To work with families in bringing their children to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, educating them from a Christian worldview, and preparing them for a life of service to Christ and their world.Families of Faith Christian Academy began in 2005 as a ministry of First Baptist Church. The church established the school with a passion to provide a quality Christian education for the children in the community and share the good news of Jesus Christ with students and their families. The school began with four teachers and 64 students meeting in classrooms of the church. The church and school share the facilities at 25124 South Fryer Street in Channahon. The new facilities are to be completed by Spring of 2010! The new property enables the church and school to have a gymnasium, various ball fields, a playground and 67,000 sq ft of classrooms, offices and multi-purpose facilities on twenty-six acres of property. FOFCA enrollment is open to students who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior as well as students who have not. All students have daily Bible class and weekly chapel services. Through the ministry of the school, students have gained a knowledge and appreciation of Christian values and the Bible in addition to an outstanding academic foundation. Families of Faith Christian Academy continues to shape the future by helping students to develop a love for learning and a commitment to honoring God in their daily lives.
